There are heaps of opportunities for PNG and overseas medical students in rural PNG. Whether your doing your 5th year Public Health rotation (PNG students), residency term or overseas electives, there are great hospitals with good facilities and a keen interest in teaching students.
PNG Rural Society has been working hard together with UPNG to upgrade our 5th year rural block teaching experiences. No more wasting 6 weeks in run down health centres with no supervision. There are now new and exciting placements for interested students around the country. Check out some of the photos below from 5th year public health rotations in 2013 -2014.
